Lydia M. Schneider

Lydia M. Schneider, 95, of Malone, died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at her residence. She was born April 25, 1923 in Silica, the daughter of Hugo and Teresa Schmitz Wagner. On November 6, 1941 she married Sylvester S. Schneider at St. Peter Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1993. Lydia was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Peter Church and the Altar Society, Association for Retarded Citizens, and the Farm Bureau. She volunteered many hours for the ARC of Fond du Lac. She enjoyed cutting grass, helping on the farm, picking out hickory nuts, and especially loved being able to take care of her daughter, Patsy.



She is survived by a daughter, Dianne (Mark) Smith of San Antonio, TX; two sons, Jerry (Joanie) Schneider of St. Peter and Steve (Ann) Schneider of Fond du Lac; two grandchildren, Gary (Sophia) Smith and Amy Smith; eight great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Lillian Kraus of Fond du Lac, Connie Bender of Newton, Theresa Hilt of Lomira, and Arlene Schneider of Elkhart Lake; brother-in-law, Bill Stubbe of Fond du Lac; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sylvester; her daughter, Patsy Schneider; her siblings, Helen (Ted) Laudolff, Paul (Margaret) Wagner, Thelma (Ken) Ressman, Evelyn (Harold) Milner, Elmer Wagner, Rita (Orlando) Schneider, Stella Stubbe, and Irma Stubbe; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruno Kraus, Sr. Basilissa Schneider, Estella (Alfred) Nett, Gilbert (Esther) Schneider, Francis (Frances) Schneider, Ralph Bender, Ray Hilt, and Alexander Schneider.



The visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:30 AM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at St. Peter Church, Holy Family Parish, W3698 County Road WH, St. Peter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow in St. Peter Parish Cemetery.
