Lyle C. Krug, 77, of 1101 Michigan Avenue, North Fond du Lac, followed his beloved wife, Bonnie, to Heaven on Friday, December 17, 2010. He was born February 3, 1933, in the Town of Empire, the son of William G. and Clara E.E. Broetzmann Krug. He graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy and later attending the Milwaukee School of Engineering. On August 27, 1960, he married Bonnie J. Snyder at the Church of Peace. Mr. Krug was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Navy in the Pacific from 1951 to 1955. He moved to Milwaukee in 1956, later relocating to Raleigh, NC for three years. He returned to Fond du Lac after retiring in 1991. He was employed as an electrical engineer by Square D of Milwaukee and North Carolina for nearly 35 years. He was an avid sportsman and wildlife artist. He and his late wife were parents to eight foster children. Surviving are two daughters, Billie Jo (Joel) Tyryfter of Franksville, WI, and Katrina K. Lindeen of Fond du Lac, a son Lyle C. Krug, Jr. of North Fond du Lac, two granddaughters, Steffanie Rae (Mickey) Smerling of Milton, FL, and Jeanna (Fiancé Dave Cole) Farley of Burlington, WI. He is further survived by two sisters, Lorraine Gantner of Eden and Myrtle Yust of Fond du Lac, four sisters-in-law, Audrey Krug of Campbellsport, Kathleen Krug of Lomira, Audrey Krug of Fond du Lac, and Carol Snyder of Fond du Lac, two brothers-in-law, Daniel Snyder of Fond du Lac and Rick (Betty) Snyder of Eden, nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, Robert, Melvin, Norvin, and George, and three brothers-in-law, William Snyder, Al Yust, and Herbert Gantner.
Visitation for Mr. Lyle C. Krug will be on Monday, December 20, 2010, from 4 to 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Tuesday, December 21st from 9 to 10 AM at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1010 Adams Avenue, North Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Tuesday at the church. The Reverend Thomas Behnke will officiate and burial will be in the Town of Forest Cemetery.
