Lyle H. Kelly

August 10, 1921 — October 11, 2007

Lyle H. Kelly, 86, formerly of Deerbrook, WI and currently a resident of Harbor Suites Assisted Living for the past 3 months, died Thursday, October 11, 2007. He was born the son of Ernest and Meta Meyers Kelly on August 10, 1921 in Fond du Lac. On February 28, 1942 he married LaVerne E. Norton in South Carolina and she preceded him in death in March of 1976. In August of 1976 Lyle married Ella Welch in Antigo and she preceded him in death in January of 2006. Lyle was a veteran of the US Army, 9th Infantry Division serving in the European Campaign in WWII. He worked for Capelle Brothers & Dietrich as a carpenter. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, and the Jointers of America Local #0646 and the 9th Infantry Division Association. He loved the outdoors especially snowmobiling and fishing.SURVIVORS: One son, Michael (Lynn) Kelly, North Fond du Lac; one step-son, Russell (Jan) Welch, Kempster, WI; two grandchildren, Angela and Sarah Kelly, North Fond du Lac; two step-grandchildren, Brett (Julie) Welch, La Crosse and Chad (Kori) Welch, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Krista and Kyla Kelly; three step-great grandchildren, Elly, Anna Welch and Brook Welch; a special niece, Bonnie (Robert) Bosin, North Fond du Lac; and special companion, his beloved cat, Tony. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, two children, Larry and Patricia, two brothers, Marvin and Eugene.



VISITATION: will be from 12-2PM on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Charles Fluegel officiating. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery with Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 conducting military graveside services.
