Lyle J. ThomeLyle J. Thome, age 69, of W3353 Ledge Rd, Malone, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006. He was born on October 27, 1937 in Johnsburg, the son of Valentine and Marcella Koenigs Thome. On October 24, 1959 he married Evelyn Schneider. She preceded him in death on October 23, 1978. On December 30, 1983 he married Barbara Weyer Roblee. Lyle worked at Tecumseh. In 1963 he left to pursue his lifelong passion of farming. He was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Peter, St. Joseph's Society, St. Lawrence Seminary Parents Guild, Knights of Columbus Council 664, Improved Order of Redman-Calumet Tribe 53, and the Malone Historical Society. Lyle enjoyed playing cards, especially sheepshead, going to auctions, and traveling, primarily to visit relatives.SURVIVORS: his wife, Barbara of Malone, nine children, Julie (Dan) Rodriguez of Fond du Lac, Joseph (Diane) Thome of Malone, Nancy (Jerry) Waldschmidt of Mt. Calvary, SMSgt Paul (Michelle) Thome of Nashville, TN, Sandra (Barry) Geliske of Capac, MI, Jack (Lila) Thome of Raleigh, NC, Susan Hackel of Combined Locks, John (Julie) Thome of Plymouth, Daniel (special friend Julie Stawicki) Thome of Minneapolis, MN, step children, Michael Roblee of Pine Mountain, GA, David Roblee of North Pole, AK, Kathy (Jay) Stepro of Ferndale, WA, Carol (Don Lokken) Roblee of Fairbanks, AK, Patricia VanSlyke of Lompoc, CA, Thomas (Maryellen) Roblee of Azusa, CA, Brian (Blanca) Roblee of Banning, CA, Jean (Brian) Baldwin of Chilton, WI, and Sharon (Ben) Henke of Chilton, WI, thirty-nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Roger Thome, Ellsworth (Joanne) Thome, Elmer (Lorraine) Thome, Louann Simon, Mary (Andrew) Gulig, Joan (Benno Jr.) Brenner, Marlys (special friend Lorenzo) Thome, Valentine Jr. (Sharon) Thome, brothers and sisters in law, Marvin (Patricia) Schneider, Lillian Schneider, and Norma (Melvin) Stenz, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Evelyn, and her parents, Rose and Clemens Schneider, and his mother and father in law, Michael and Rose Weyer.



VISITATION: Friday, November 24, 2006 from 3-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Family Parish-St. Peter's Church, St. Peter with the Reverend Victor Capriolo officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. with prayers being held at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
