Lyle W. "Pete" Wollitz, 89, of N5807 Nelson Road, Fond du Lac, died Monday, October 9, 2006 at his son John's home in Neshkoro. He was born on January 30, 1917, the son of Charles and Sadie Robinson Wollitz in Ripon, Wisconsin. On August 17, 1940 he married Leone Richardson in Dubuque, Iowa and she preceded him in death on October 21, 1987. Lyle was a self -employed masonry contractor all of his life. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Paul. He enjoyed polka, dancing, going up north camping and loved being with his grandchildren. SURVIVORS: his three children, Robert C. Wollitz and special friend Carol Schnieder, Fond du Lac, John (Susie) Wollitz, Neshkoro and Gloria (Dale) Pinkert, North Fond du Lac; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; three great- great grandchildren; two sisters, Vivian Kauss, Green Lake and Nina Hinn, Oshkosh. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Lynn.
Friends may call on Friday, October 13, 2006 from 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Friday, October 13,2006 at 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home and at 1:00 P.M. on Friday at the Cathedral of St. Paul with the Very Rev. Theodore McConnell officiating. Burial will follow in Rosendale Cemetery.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
