Lynn “Butch” F. Pleuss, 72 of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born on July 28, 1942 in Manitowoc the son of Frederick and Josephine Kelsey Pleuss. On February 13, 1971 he married Mary Jo Horton in Oshkosh. Lynn was a graduated of Manitowoc High School Class of 1960 and attended University of Oshkosh for two years. He was a veteran of the United States Army early in the Vietnam era. He worked at Mercury Marine for over 30 years and was a member of the International Association of Aerospace Workers No.1947. Butch was a great pool shooter and belonged to many pool leagues in Fond du Lac. He loved golfing, hunting and going to the Wisconsin Badger football games.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife Mary Jo Pleuss, Fond du Lac, three sons, Lynn (Debra) Pleuss, Madison, Harold (Rhonda) Pleuss, Fond du Lac, and Joseph Pleuss, Fond du Lac. five grandchildren, Alexander, Bowen, Greta, Estella and Sienna. He is further survived by a sister Cindy Perrique, Crivitz and one brother Peter Pleuss, Arizona. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Terry (Carmen) Pleuss and one brother –in-law Michael Perrique.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. with the Rev. Edward Sippel officiating. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Butch’s name.
