Mabel M. Rose, 99, formerly of 468 Ruggles Street, died Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at Harbor House, where she had been a resident for the past eight years. She was born September 21, 1907, in the Town of Nasewaupee, Door County, the daughter of Charles and Henriette Viedel Krieser. She married Carl H. Rose and he preceded her in death on July 19, 1977. Mrs. Rose was a member of the Church of Peace United Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, sewing, playing bingo, and being with her family. Surviving are two sons; Gordon (Helen) Rose of Lamartine, and Darwin (Patricia) Rose of Mt. Calvary, a daughter-in-law, Julie Rose of Fond du Lac, 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 7 great- great grandchildren. Her parents, a son, Myron "Mike" Rose, a daughter, Elaine Rose, a granddaughter, Carol Jean Rose, five brothers, three sisters, and an infant sister preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Mabel M. Rose will be on Friday, August 17, 2007, from 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7 pm on Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Chuck Fluegel will officiate. Committal services will be at 9 am on Saturday, August 18, 2007 in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Mrs. Roses' name.
