Mabel M. Wegner

Mabel M. Wegner, age 80, formerly of 523 Farwell Ave, Fond du Lac, died Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on July 24, 1931 in Wautoma, the daughter of Herman and Iva (Evans) Pomplun. On May 13, 1951 she married Donald Wegner in Wautoma. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2001. Mabel worked for the West Bend Co. until her retirement. She enjoyed rummaging, camping, traveling, cooking, casino runs, and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.SURVIVORS: four children, Allen (Deborah) Wegner of Fond du Lac, Jean Beesley (special friend Joe Hein) of Oakfield, Joan (Jim) Hall of Oakfield, Dennis (Beth) Wegner of Fond du Lac, nine grandchildren, Jessica Wegner, Joe Beesley, Thomas (Katie) Beesley, Heather Beesley, Josh Wegner, Jason Wegner (special friend Christine), Samantha Wegner (special friend Matt Immel), Jodi (Jon) Wessel, Bobby Hall (special friend Nicole Holz), four great-grandchildren, Caleb Higgins, Cailey Wegner, Natalie Thomas, Bryson Immel, four brothers, Bill Pomplun of Milwaukee, Arley (Mary) Pomplun of Waukau, Tony Pomplun of AZ, Gaylord (Crystal) Pomplun of Westfield, two sisters, Inez Grebe of Wautoma, and Judy Young of Plainfield, brother in law, Gerald (Donna) Wegner of Westfield, two sisters in law, Mildred Pomplun of Wautoma, Bernice Wegner of Montello, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, one brother in law, and two sisters in law.



VISITATION: Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Hope Lutheran Church, 260 Vincent St, Fond du Lac with the Reverend Steven Huff officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.Special thanks to the staff at Harbor Haven and All About Life for everything they have done for Mabel.
