Marcella A. Leichtfuss

Marcella A. Leichtfuss, 88, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, August 25, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born September 11, 1925 in the township of Nekimi, Winnebago County, the daughter of Joseph and Linda Nachtrab Kolplitz. On September 15, 1945 Marcella married Lawrence Leichtfuss at Bethel Church in the Town of Black Wolf and he preceded her in death in 1965. She farmed with her husband in the Van Dyne area until he passed away. Marcella enjoyed crocheting, quilting, dancing, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.



She is survived by one son, Roger (Debbie) Leichtfuss, Van Dyne; one daughter, Bonnie (Joel) Holmes, North Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Michele (Brian) Westphal, Michael (Lisa) Leichtfuss, Mark (fiancé, Vanna Herrman) Leichtfuss, Scott (Wendy) Holmes, Sarah (Jason) Filipiak, Stephanie Holmes; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Norman and Gordon Kolplitz and a great grandson Ryan Leichtfuss.



The visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Nekimi with the funeral service to immediately follow at 12 noon with Rev. James Reiff officiating. Burial will be at the parish cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated in Marcella’s name.
