Marcella E. Patt Miller Brester

Marcella E. Patt Miller Brester, 94, formerly of 871 S. Main Street, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where she had been a resident since May of 2010. She was born January 26, 1917, in the Town of Eldorado, the daughter of Arthur and Ida Gauger Patt. On April 21, 1934, she married Harry W. Miller at the Eldorado Salem Evangelical Church. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1970. On January 12, 1973, she married Carl Brester at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death on November 25, 1983. Marcella was a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. Mom loved school, but quit to marry Harry. They farmed in the Town of Eldorado. She worked at various jobs, the last 20 years at Tolibia Cheese Company. She loved nature, going for rides in the country in all seasons, and feeding and watching birds and animals. She loved going to dances and listening to Guy Lombardo and Lawrence Welk. She was jolly and especially loved to make people laugh. Surviving is a daughter, Lu Ann Shepro of Eldorado, five sons, Eugene (Verna) Miller of Oshkosh, William "Wild Bill" (Delores) Miller of Rosendale, Harvin (Mary Lou) Miller of Oshkosh, Gary (Gail) Miller of Eldorado, and Walton (Carol) Miller of Brandon, 44 grandchildren, Angel (Adam) Gilbertson, Joshua (Rae Ann) Deschaine, Jeffrey (Becky) Miller, Stuart (Michele) Miller, Dawn (Scott) Koehler, William (Mary) Miller, Jr., Julie (Special Friend Steve) Miller, Dustin (Fiancé Lori) Miller, Troy Pflum, Tracey (Paul) Hoffman, Kelly (Jim) Rickert, Scott (Sharon) Schwartz, Trevor (Kristin) Schwartz, Troy (Amy) Schwartz, Heather (Brad) Crooks, Jessie (Dwight) Flaherty, Matthew (Jessie) Miller, Dean (Michelle) Miller, Mark (Friend Becky) Miller, Jennifer (Brian) Taplin, Marci (Corey) Balson, Carrie (Jeff) Hanzel, Carrie (Mark) Krueger, 61 great- grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by three stepdaughters, Gloria (Dan) Groeschel of Malone, Bonnie (Robert) Hilt of Fond du Lac, and Elaine (Alex) Lichtenwald of Fond du Lac, a daughter-in-law, Betty Brester of California, ten step-grandchildren, Nancy (Dave) Repinski, Cherie (Todd) Buss, Patty (Al) Steger, Ann (Matt) Judkins, Diane (Todd) Smith, Christine (Matthew) Stellmacher, Michael (Melanie) Hilt, and Melisa (Jon) Boehlke, Darrell (Cory) Scholzen, and Troy Scholzen. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a son, Warren, a grandson, Eric Miller, a sister, Viola Frederick, a brother, Harvey Patt, two brothers-in-law, Henry Frederick and Ervin Miller, two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Patt and Hilda Miller, a daughter-in-law, Barbara Miller, a son-in-law, Dwayne Shepro, a step-son, Carl Brester, Jr., a step-daughter, Lois Gaboury, a step-daughter-in-law, Martha Brester, and several nieces and nephews.



Visitation for Mrs. Marcella E. Patt Miller Brester will be on Monday, April 25, 2011, from 4 to 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and again on Tuesday, April 26th, from 10 to 11 AM at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Drive, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 11 AM at the church on the 26th. The Rev. Shari Routh will officiate and burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery-County Trunk I, Town of Eldorado. A memorial has been established in Marcella's name.
