Marcella F. "Sal" SauerMrs. Marcella F. "Sal" Sauer, 77, of 132 White Street, Oakfield, died Sunday, June 05, 2005, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born March 27, 1928, in the Town of Oakfield, the daughter of William F. and Elda E. Hackbarth Schmidt. On March 10, 1951, she married Richard H. Sauer. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2001. Mrs. Sauer was a 1946 graduate of Oakfield High School. She was a life member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, a member of Oakfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary where she was president, vice president, and secretary, and was vice president of the Avoca Cemetery Association since 1968. She was a bookkeeper for many years for several area businesses. Marcella enjoyed cribbage, all types of crafts, fishing, knitting, and crocheting. She had also taught ceramics at the North Fond du Lac Senior CenterSurviving is a sister, Lorena Williams of Fox Lake, three sisters-in-law, Helen Schmidt of Oakfield, Betty Sauer and Laura Berry, both of Ripon, two brothers-in-law, Alvin (Marlene) Sauer of Neshkoro, and Harvey (Annabelle) Sauer of Bullhead City, AZ. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, including 11 Godchildren, further survive her. Her parents, husband, Richard, three brothers, and three sisters preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Marcella F. "Sal" Sauer will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2005, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, from 1 to 2 pm at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Oakfield. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at 2 pm at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert Bitter will officiate and burial will be in Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.
