Margaret M. Klinke

Margaret M. Klinke, 94 and a life-long resident of Fond du Lac, died Friday, August 9, 2024, at home. She was born in Fond du Lac on December 26, 1929, to Emil and Agnes (Glodowski) Roell. Margaret graduated from Goodrich High School. On December 3, 1949, she married Gordon Klinke in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1997.

Margaret loved to bowl, garden, fish, bird watch, and enjoyed going to Wendt’s On The Lake. She had an interest in photography and taxidermy as well. Margaret crafted gorgeous quilts, making one for each of her twelve grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Family - St. Mary Church in Fond du Lac as well as the Retired Soo Liners and worked as a Billing Clerk for Spector Freight, retiring in 1983. 

Survivors include five children, William (Anna) Klinke, Richard (Mari) Klinke, Robert (Lynn) Klinke, Susan Schessow (James Hefter), and Laura Johnson; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Klinke; her brother, Oscar Roell; and her son-in-law, Charles Johnson. 

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with burial in St. Charles Cemetery to follow.
