Marguerite “Tootie” Huberty, 72, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, June 22, 2015 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born September 17, 1942 in Waukesha, the daughter of Peter and Marguerite (Burroughs) Langolf.
In addition to being a dedicated mother and proud grandmother, Tootie worked all her life in food service including the Fond du Lac school system. Since 1966, Tootie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and served as Auxiliary President from 1981-1982. While an active member she was an avid bowler and golfer. It was at the Eagles where she met her husband. On August 22, 1970, she married Francis J. Huberty at St. Joseph’s Church, and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2006. Tootie will be remembered for her favorite pastimes of cooking and creating handmade gifts including quilts, afghans, sewed clothing, and stitched wall hangings. Her greatest creation, however, was her children and grandchildren, the source of all of her pride and love.
She is survived by her daughter, Jolene (Steve) Wochenske of Oregon, WI; her granddaughter; her grandson; five brothers, Arnold, Victor, Edward, David, and Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Michelle; her sister, Barbara; and her infant brother, Robert.
A celebration of Tootie’s life will be held at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 with the visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial in Marguerite’s name to Agrace Hospice. Her daughter would like to thank all those at Agrace HospiceCare, Skaalen, and the UW Hospital who gave her mother loving care during her courageous battle with cancer.
