Marian J. Lindahl

Marian J. Lindahl, 80, of 47 Winnebago Lane, died Saturday, September 20, 2008. She was born May 30, 1928, the daughter of Eugene and Alice Luby McCrory. She grew up in the Fond du Lac area, graduating from Goodrich High School in 1946. In 1947, she married Orville Becker and he preceded her in death in 2002. She married Jan G. Lindahl in 1968 and he preceded her in death in 1991. Mrs. Lindahl was previously self-employed in Marshfield, WI, operating MJL Associates. She was a past president of Business and Professional Womens association. After her retirement in 1990, she moved to Fond du Lac and became active with the Foster Grandparent Program, serving as both Advisory Board Member and volunteer. For the past 18 years, she was known as Grandma Marian to the children and staff ata Pier School. She was an inspiration to all the lives she touched and will be dearly missed. Surviving are three sons, Brian Becker of Fond du Lac, Gary (Glenda) Becker of Fayetteville, NC, and Jeffrey (Barbara) Becker of Marhsfield, WI; three daughters, Lana (Fiance' Paul) Potisk of Colorado Springs, CO, Karen (Robert) Gruenewaldt of Fond du Lac, and Terri (Allen) Feustel of Neenah, WI, 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Further surviving is a brother, James (Vivian) McCrory of Columbus, GA, and nieces and nephews. Her parents, husbands, a sister, June Watkins, and two brothers, Robert and Eugene "John" McCrory Jr. preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Marian J. Lindahl will be on Thursday, September 25. 2008, from 3 to 5 pm at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way. Liturgy of The Word for Christian Burial services will be at 5 pm at the church. The Rev. Patrick Heppe will officiate and burial of cremated remains will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Foster Grandparent Program in care of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac.
