Marie Agnes Forton, age 68 of Fond du Lac passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Hospice Home of Hope. Marie was born in Marquette, Michigan, the daughter of George and Agnes Paquette Gregorich on October 16, 1940. She was a graduate of Bishop Baraga High School. Marie stayed at home with her children when they were young. She worked at Miles Kimball, Kmart for many years and Staples, retiring on October 12, 2007 from Property Management from Pinnacle. Marie enjoyed gardening, bowling, taking walks, and watching the Packers. Her grandchildren were very special to her; she did crafts with them for the holidays. Marie also collected giraffes.SURVIVORS: Survived by very special friend Arthur Okon, Beaver Dam, four daughters, Deena Freiberg, Oakfield, Sue (Ray) Sharp, Jacquelyn Buelow and Margaret (Michael) Schneider all of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Nikole, Alexandria, Maxwell, Wensday, Autumn, Nicholas and Michala; one great-grandchild, Christian; five brothers, George (Eunice) Gregorich, Florida, Joseph (Judith) Gregorich, Michigan, Ernie (Judy) Gregorich, Michigan, Andrew Gregorich, California, Thomas (Marie) Gregorich, Michigan; six sisters, Joan (Calvin) Zorza, Michigan, Judith Serbinow, Menominee Falls, WI, Helene Reynolds, Michigan, Nancy Malvasio, Missouri, Sarah Gergorich, Michigan, Mary (Marvin) Mahaffey, Michigan; one brother-in-law, David Thompson; two sisters-in-law, Helen Gregorich and Kay Gregorich. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Michael Gregorich; one sister, Gretchen Thompson; two brothers-in-law, Charles Serbinow and Richard Malvasio.
VISITATION: At Marie's request a private family visitation will take place. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 PM on Friday, March 6, 2009 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way.
