Marie H. Hageman

Marie H. Hageman, 100, formerly a resident of the Town of Lamartine for over 50 years, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where she had resided since November of 2010. She was born April 7, 1910, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Richard Carl and Augusta Wilhelmine Mueller Schwebke. On June 20, 1934, she married Norbert W. Hageman in Fond du Lac County. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1983. Mrs. Hageman and her husband farmed in the Town of Lamartine until 1968 when they both retired. She was a member of the Church of Peace. Marie enjoyed reading and Word Search. Surviving is a daughter, Bonnie (James) Steffen of Fond du Lac, two grandsons, Terry (Nancy) Steffen of North Fond du Lac, and Thomas (Tanya) Steffen of Fond du Lac, two granddaughters, Deborah (John) Myrechuck of Fond du Lac, and Jacqueline Durkee of Alexandria, VA, two great-granddaughters, Sammy Jo Steffen of North Fond du Lac, and Angela (Special Friend Aaron Garry) Myrechuck of Minneapolis, MN, and one great-grandson, Jay Myrechuck of Fond du Lac. A sister, Ruby Streeter of Fond Du Lac, further survives her. Her parents, husband, a son, Jack Schwebke, four brothers, and three sisters preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Marie H. Hageman will be on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, from 4 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jennifer Dawson will officiate. Burial services will be at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Estabrooks Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to Church of Peace or a donation of your choice.
