Marie I. Davies

Marie I. Davies, 88, died Thursday, July 30, 2015, in Clintonville, WI. She was born on April 25, 1927, the daughter of Walter and Emma (Martzen) Weh. On February 15, 1947, she married Edwin Davies at the United Church of Christ in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1993. In 2010, Marie relocated to Clintonville to be near family.

Marie’s passions included reading books of all kinds and fishing with her husband. In addition to raising her 4 sons, she and Edwin were also active members of Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Fond du Lac. She was a Past-President of the Church Council and a Past-President of the Women’s Guild.

Surviving Marie are her 4 sons; Gary (Jeanne), Michael (Nancy), Thomas (Michele “Mickey”), Mark (Michele); 7 grandchildren, Jobe (Joanna), Ben (Becky), Mary (Adam), Christopher (Jamie), Katie (Mike), Andrew (Lindsey), Becky; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Visitation for Marie will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 535 Stow St. in Fond du Lac. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ted Drewsen officiating. Private family burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fond du Lac.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that in memory of Marie donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
