Marie K. Weiner

Marie K. Weiner, 95, died Monday, May 23, 2016 at Lakeview Place in Fond du Lac. She was born in the Town of Lincoln, Monroe County, Wis. on July 19, 1920, a daughter of Fred and Maria “Mayme” (Kasten) Elmer. On February 17, 1944, she married Arthur Weiner in Sparta, Wis. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1989.

Marie was an avid reader and enjoyed musky fishing. After completing high school, she worked as a secretary at the Tomah Herald, the West Bend Co., Gehl Co. and MPTC in Fond du Lac.

Surviving Marie is her daughter, Nancy (David) Hackbarth of Fond du Lac; grandson, Aaron Hackbarth of Williams Bay, Wis.; great-granddaughters, Ava and Emily; and her brother, Robert (Epsie) Elmer of Ft. Wayne, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Fritz (Anne).

VISITATION for Marie will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Immanuel- Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Dr. in Fond du Lac. FUNERAL service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Sue Sheffer-Meyer officiating. Private family entombment will occur Friday in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Drive, Fond du Lac, 54935.
