Marilyn J. Desilet 79, of Oshkosh WI, and formerly of Deltona FL and Two Harbors MN died peacefully at Evergreen Creekview North surrounded by family after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Marilyn was born in Superior WI on January 22, 1932, the daughter of John and Mabel Novak. On October 25, 1958, she married William "Keith" Desilet in Duluth MN . Marilyn was a graduate of Denfeld High School in 1949 and received a B.S. in Education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Marilyn taught school in La Crosse WI, Eveleth MN, Duluth MN and Silver Bay MN. She was a member of Lutheran Church of Providence, Deltona FL. Marilyn enjoyed many different forms of art, antiquing and spending time with her family.Surviving is her husband of 53 years, Keith, a son Dean (Renee) Desilet of Oshkosh WI, a daughter Melanie (Mike) Misheff of Elizabeth CO, grandchildren Luke and Emily Desilet, Kara (Chris) Batson and Hailey Misheff, sister Lois Salo, and a niece Roni Salo.Special thanks to the staff of Evergreen Creekview North, Generations Hospice, Pastor Karen Jewell, Jayne Lindsay, and Joan Higley for their compassionate care and support.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 7th 2011 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Evergreen Retirement 1130 N Westfield Street , Oshkosh WI.Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Karen Jewell from St. Andrew's Lutheran Church will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery Superior WI at a later date.
