Marilyn J. Koeck

Marilyn J. Koeck, 80, formerly of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, January 24, 2008, in Winneconne, WI, where she had been a resident the past four years. She was born July 12, 1927, in Avon, SD, the daughter of Charles and Katherine Bos Vander Schaff. On June 23, 1951, she married Richard J. Koeck in Horicon, WI. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1998.Marilyn was a 50-year member of First United Presbyterian Church. She was formerly employed by the Fond du Lac School District for over 30 years as an elementary teacher at Lincoln and Parkside Schools. Mrs. Koeck was a member of the Fond du Lac Retired Teachers Association and former member of the Evening Optimist Club.Surviving is a daughter, Debra (Charles) Rosen of Antioch, IL; three sons, Rick (Nancy) Koeck of Sauk City, Charles (Mary) Koeck of Winneconne, and Michael (Laurie) Koeck of Waupun; 11 grandchildren, Katie, Josh, Mandy, Jenny, Matt, Emily, Erin, Elizabeth, Margaret, Kathryn, and Billy, and two great-granddaughters, Ryann and Madisyn. She is further survived by two sisters; twin Gwendolyn Dohr of Peshtigo, and Joyce (Bob) Scherer of Hayward, three brothers-in-law, Ray Berndt of Horicon, Jim (Charlotte) Koeck of Fond du Lac, and Bill (Kathy) Koeck of Wild Rose, and one sister-in-law, Joyce Dawald of Rochester, IN. Her parents, husband, a brother, Harold, two sisters, Gertrude Berndt, and Margaret Manson, three brothers-in-law, Paul Dohr, Dr. Almond Manson, and Dick Dawald, and a sister-in-law, Betty Vander Schaff, preceded her in death.



Private family funeral services were held on Saturday, January 26, 2008, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Rev. Anthony Farina officiated and entombment will be held at 10AM on Monday, January 28, 2008 in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Marilyn's name and donations may be directed in c/o of Rick Koeck, 9420 Blackhawk Trail, Sauk City, WI 53583.
