Marilyn J. Spang

Marilyn J. Spang, 78, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Fond du Lac on August 26, 1935, the daughter of Lloyd and Viola (Bastian) Schlough. On September 21, 1953, Marilyn was united in marriage to Cyril Spang in Rockford, IL. Marilyn was a proud mother and a proud grandmother; the rock of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Marilyn enjoyed reading, loved the Packers, and enjoyed watching nature, especially the turkeys and deer. Marilyn worked various part-time jobs while raising her children and eventually retired from Card Shack. SURVIVORS:Marilyn is survived by her three children; Terry (Barb) Spang of Fond du Lac, Sandra (Peter) Steger of Oakfield, Randy (Sue) Spang of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 2 foster-great-grandchildren, a special daughter, Barb (Charlie) Houle of Minnesota and special friends Joan Burkwald and Dwight Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Gloria Anderson.



A visitation will be held for Marilyn on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 1-4PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. A private family burial will take place Monday at Estabrooks Cemetery. Additional information and guestbook can be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
