Marilyn Rose Norton

Marilyn Rose Norton, age 55, of N5764 County Road W, Mt. Calvary, died peacefully Monday, May 28, 2007 at her daughter's home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on July 27, 1951 in Fond du Lac the daughter of Roger and Mary (Simon) Retzleff. On February 7, 1970 she married Robert Norton Sr. at St. Mary's Church, Fond du Lac. At the time of her marriage, Marilyn worked as a nurse's aide. She then spent her life raising her four children, and her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the family anchor. She loved giving and was there for family and friends in time of need. She enjoyed camping, bird watching, traveling, and the outdoors. She loved the simple things in life and the company of others.SURIVORS: her husband, Robert of Mt. Calvary, her four children, Deborah (Allen) Morin of Fond du Lac, Mary Angela (partner Scott Richardson) Koerner of Fond du Lac, Florence (Dale) Mans of Fond du Lac, Robert (Andrea) Norton Jr. of Eden, her parents, Roger and Mary Retzleff of Fond du Lac, eighteen grandchildren, Alan, Dana, Amanda, Travis, Rebecca, Jacob, Kimberly, Matthew, Lil' Matthew, Brandon, Coral, Madison, Alyssa, Nathaniel, Courtney, Nicholas, Emily, and Damien, three great-grandchildren, Dakota, Zoe, and Raven, four sisters, Karen (Phil) Gabathuler of North Fond du Lac, Eileen (Max) Luna of Fond du Lac, Barbara (special friend Terry Duley) of Fond du Lac, Patricia (William) Brandt of Fond du Lac, brothers and sisters in law, Lewis (Hilda) Norton of Fond du Lac, Carol (Jack) Lucas of CA, June (Ken) Madritch of Milwaukee, Dorothy (Larry) Schirland of Green Bay, Kay (Dave) McGuffin of SC, Don (Becky) Norton of Hawaii, Jane Norton of North Fond du Lac, Ron (Sandra) Norton of Sheboygan, Terry (Linda) Norton of San Diego, Georgia (partner Jerry) of Coloma, WI, Pat (Mike) Walters of Beaver Dam, Yvonne (Dave) Steinbrook of Beaver Dam, Barbara (partner Bill) Mielke of Chicago, close friends, Rhonda Robson, Diane Parish, Donna Wilhelms, and Carol Seibel, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father in law and mother in law, Lewis and Florence Norton Sr. and one brother in law, Gene Norton.



VISITATION: Friday, June 1, 2007 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Rienzi Cemetery.
