Marion A. Talma

March 30, 1931 — September 26, 2013

Marion A. Talma, 82, passed away peacefully from complications of heart disease on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital with family by her side. She was born March 30, 1931 in Marblehead, WI, the third child of Michael and Catherine Heschel Bernath. She married Sam Sytze Talma September 29, 1950 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon, WI.Marion was retired. She worked at Purity Cheese, Mayville, WI, Shalers, Waupun, WI, Wells, Fond du Lac, WI, and Green Giant, Rosendale, WI. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her favorite past time, also the family dog, Sasha. She enjoyed meeting her friends at Ramjets. She also collected pop-tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, Madison, WI. She is survived by four children, Linda (Rick) Peterson, Brandon, WI, Michael Talma, Fond du Lac, WI, Cheryl (Dennis) Millard, Richford, WI, and Gary (Sandy) Talma, Colgate, WI; five grandchildren, Danielle (Dan) Pickart, Brandon, WI, Shane (Jenny) Millard, Hancock, WI, David (Jamie Schuelke) Millard, Redgranite, WI, Megan Talma and Sydney Talma, Colgate, WI; five great grandchildren, Jarred (Anna Buchanan) Peterson-Grimes, Conner Pickart and Hailey Pickart, Brandon, WI, Taylor Millard and Tyler Millard, Hancock, WI. She is further survived by her sister, Christina (Earl) Schmuhl, Brandon, WI; her brother, Tony (Cathy) Bernath, Ripon, WI; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews; godchildren, Michelle (Hutter) Haensgen, Dawn (McCrary) Resop, Brenda (Stahmann) Kimpel and Chuck Mitchell; special friends, Deb Sabel, Sheila and Bob Baehler, Kathy Haesley and Cheryl Millay. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Sam on March 24, 2001; a dear sister, Katherine (Herb) Schindel; a brother, Nick Bernath; twin great grandchildren, Shania and Caleb Millard, Katelyn and Kory Millard.



Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Ledgeview Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. Beth Macha officiating. Marion was a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac, WI. In lieu of flowers all donation can be directed to the family and will be put in a fund for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund). The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Guy Trepanier, Dr. James Liebsohn, Dr. Doug Wonder, and Dr. Kurt Oesterling, the staff at Agnesian ICU and 6th Floor for the wonderful support and care given to Marion.
