Marion J. Nelson

Marion J. Nelson, 86, formerly of 693 West Division Street ,died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where she had been a resident since October 2007. Marion was born in Fond du Lac on March 8, 1922 the daughter of August J. and Hildegard Luedtke Mitzelfeldt. On September 28, 1946 she married Henry "Heinie" W. Nelson at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. Henry preceded her in death on October 19, 2007. Marion worked as a teacher's aid at Elizabeth Waters School for 17 years before retiring in June 1984. She was a life-long member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching baseball, shopping and car trips.SURVIVORS: two sisters-in-law, Terri Mitzelfeldt, Fond du Lac, and Ione Nelson, Mesa, AZ, nieces, nephews, and friends survive Marion. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Steven, two brothers, Norbert and Robert.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church-Family Life Center, 20 Wisconsin American Drive, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Monday, August 25, 2008 at 11:30 A.M. at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church-Family Life Center, 20 Wisconsin American Drive, with Reverend Alan Schaffmeyer officiating.
