Marion L. Olson

Marion L. Olson, 91, formerly of 135 W. Johnson Street, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the Woodlands Senior Park where she had been a resident for the past year. She was born January 13, 1921, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of William J. and Leila Ziebell Von Rotz. She was a graduate of Goodrich High School. On January 26, 1946, she married Emerson A. Olson at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1993. Marion was a member of Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed doing needlework, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, watching baseball (especially the Cubs and Brewers), and gardening. Surviving is a son, James (Kay) Olson of Milwaukee, a daughter, Judy (Larry) Lapine of Fond du Lac, seven grandchildren, Terri (Rob) Moyle, Kathy (Steve) McEssey, and Tom (Chris Lang) Lapine, and Mike (Carrie), Joe (Deb), and Quinn (Erin) Olson, and Meghann (Adam) Grosskreutz, and six great-grandchildren. She is further survived by twin sisters, Marjorie and Dorothy Von Rotz, both of Fond du Lac. Her parents preceded her in death.



Visitation for Marion L. Olson will be on Thursday, March 15, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and again on Friday, March 16th, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Holy Family Parish, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. Liturgy for Christian Burial services will be at 10:30 AM at the church on Friday. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Marion's name.
