Marion M. Schmitz

Marion Myrtle Schmitz, 82, of North Fond du Lac, passed away on December 21, 2009 at her daughter's home in Oshkosh. She was born on January 16, 1927 in North Fond du Lac, the daughter of William and Elva Roberts Wiskow. She married Albert R. Schmitz on January 8, 1947 at Church of the Presentation, North Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1995. Marion was a lifelong member of Church of the Presentation in North Fond du Lac. She was a former employee of the Hurricane Restaurant and she loved rummage sales and ballroom dancing. Marion is survived by one son, Francis (Linda) Schmitz, Fond du Lac; two daughters, Barbara (Anthony) Bertram, Oshkosh, Carol (John) Cook, Oshkosh; twelve grandchildren, Mary Bertram, Michael (Abby) Bertram, Matthew Bertram, Melissa Bertram, Brian (Colise) Schmitz, Amanda (Matt) Kane, Scott Krebsbach, Pam Krebsbach, April (Scott) Paulsen, Crystal Cook, Keith Cook, Kimberly Cook; five great-grandchildren, Addisun and Kaiden Schmitz, Lukas Bertram, Cory and Tyler Paulsen. She is further survived by a sister Loretta Grube; a brother Kenneth (MariAnne) Wiskow; a sister-in-law, Lillian (James) Foote; five brothers-in-law, Lester (Cecila) Schmitz, Gene (May) Schmitz, John Schmitz, Eugene Kelly and John Bittner. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Marie; one brother, Edward; two sisters, Dolores Fischer and Evelyn Ott



Visitation: will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 4-8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 10 "“ 11 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am at the Church of the Presentation, 705 Michigan Ave. North Fond du Lac, with the Rev. John Simon officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
