Marion P. Kneeland, 100, of Fond du Lac, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born on September 10, 1918, in Sparta, Wis., a daughter of Harry and Clara (Cole) Brom. Marion graduated from Sparta H.S. and married Robert J. Kneeland on July 13, 1946, in Urbana, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1983.
The wife of a career U.S. Air Force officer, Marion raised her family at numerous locations in the United States until Robert’ retirement from the military and settled in La Crosse, Wis. in 1962. They moved to Fond du Lac in 1970.
Marion is survived by her two sons; Michael (Nancy) Kneeland of Fond du Lac and Bryan (Sally) Kneeland of Colorado Springs, Colo; a sister, Charlene Sandin of Melbourne, Fla.; a son-in-law, Dr. Philip (Margo) Albert of Wausau, Wis.; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Corie) Pusel of Manitowoc, Wis., Jacob (Christie) Albert of Middleton, Wis., David (Julie) Albert of Savannah, Ga., Robert (Heather) Kneeland of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Shawn (Special Friend Marta Darrow) Kneeland of Fond du Lac, and Laura (Jordan) Birkholz of Colorado Springs; and nine great-grandchildren, Caitlin Albert, Zoey, Calvin and Greta Mae Kneeland, Brynn and Lincoln Pusel, Ava Kneeland and Avery and Hudson Albert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Patricia Albert; and her two brothers, Wayde and Homer Brom.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of the Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope for their care and compassion of Marion and her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope.
A private family service will be held at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
