Marjorie Ann Pierce, 86, of Fond du Lac, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital from complications of pneumonia and advanced Alzheimer’s. Her family lovingly cared for her at home the past 2 ½ years. Marge was born in Fond du Lac on August 16, 1929, a twin daughter of Claude and Mabel Fairbank Boudry. After graduation from Fond du Lac High School Class of 1947 she worked at Infant Socks. On August 30, 1947 she married Clarence Pierce at Division Street Methodist Church. Together Marge and Clarence raised ten children. While caring for her large family she worked the night shift at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home as an aide. Marge was a familiar sight in her West Scott Street neighborhood, selling Avon and Artex door to door. An accomplished seamstress, she sewed everything from doll clothes to detailed quilts. She was an avid cat lover. In their retirement she and Clarence enjoyed traveling to the casino on the bus with family and friends to play the slot machines. They loved bowling, listening to country music and were excellent polka dancers. Her love and devotion of family came first in her life. Marge was always proud of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. She will be sadly missed as the best mom and grandma.

Calvary, Dale (Dottie) Pierce of Fond du Lac, Patricia Pierce of Fond du Lac, Nancy (Dave) Stubbe of Van Dyne, Joseph Pierce of Owen, Jeanette (Jeff) Beesley of North Fond du Lac, Diana (Mike) Mann of Fond du Lac, Judy (Kevin Hackbarth) Cloud of Fond du Lac, and Wallace (Linda) Pierce of Fond du Lac; 36 grandchildren, Michelle, Debi, Doug, Jerry, Dennis, Amy, Lance, Rebecca, Darran, Donna, Yvonne, Andy, Tina, Jody, Brian, Denise, Kerry, Anita, Jenny, Joseph, Jennifer, Danny, Angela, D.J., Donald, Ester, Marjorie, Danielle, Roberta, David, Lisa, Dale Dunn, Steven, Katie and Miranda; 95 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
