Marjorie G. Schmitz

Marjorie G. Schmitz, age 82, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born October 1, 1927, in Fond du Lac the daughter of Alvin and Mable Wagner Loehr. On February 23, 1949, she married Arnold E. Schmitz in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death in June of 2003. Marjorie worked at the Fond du Lac County Mental Health Center as a nursing assistant. She was a member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards.SURVIVORS: include her three children, Sue (Steve) Hardgrove, Fond du Lac; Ted (Rachel) Schmitz, Berlin, WI; Doug Schmitz, Plymouth, WI, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Marjorie is further survived by one brother Jim (Kathy) Loehr, Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Dave and John Loehr.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, from 4-8 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Further visitation will be held on Thursday from 9 AM until the time of services at the church. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held, Thursday, July 22, 2010, at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Main Street, at 10 AM. Reverend Jon Cox will be officiating. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park. Memorials appreciated to St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, Winnebago Lutheran Academy, or Hospice Home of Hope.
