Marjorie M. Mielke

Marjorie M. Mielke, 84, formerly of 489 Allen Street, and a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011. She was born May 22, 1927, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Leon and Lauretta Nast Hollander. She was a 1945 graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School. She was formerly employed by Wieman Dime Store, Ben Franklin Store, and Kitz and Pfeil Hardware. On October 11, 1947, Marjorie married Kenneth Mielke at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. Both of them were very active in the Sunday school. She held many offices in the Ruth Circle and was very proud to be a Lutheran. Marjorie was also a volunteer at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home and loved helping people. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth, two sons, Lee (Special Friend, Jodi Ericksen) Mielke of Lynden, WA, and David (Donna) Mielke of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren, Sarah, Hannah, Nathan, and Jacob, and two great-granddaughters, Elaine and Liana. She was preceded in death by her parents and a twin infant brother, Milton, who died at birth.



Visitation for Marjorie M. Mielke will be on Sunday, January 1, 2012, from 12 noon until 3 PM at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Drive. Funeral services will be at 3 PM at the church on Sunday. Pastor Shari Routh will officiate and cremation will follow the services. Inurnment of cremated remains will be in Rienzi Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund.
