Marjorie R. Ruch, 96, of 441 Marshall Avenue, died Saturday, January 2. 2010, at her residence. She was born November 3, 1913, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Albert and Martha Unger Krueger. On June 2, 1932, she married Rueben W. Ruch, Sr. at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2000. Marjorie was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 50 years, Ladies of Faith, the church choir, and the WLA Auxiliary. She was a devoted baby sitter and enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles. Marjorie was a 1931 graduate of Fond du Lac High School. Surviving is a daughter, Shirley Gedlinske of Fond du Lac, five sons, Richard (Mary) Ruch of Genoa City, WI, Norman (Joanne) Ruch, and Donald (Kathy) Ruch, both of Fond du Lac, Rueben (Kathy) Ruch, Jr., of Eldorado, and Hugh Kelly Ruch (partner Jim Edwards) of Jacksonville, FL. She is further survived by two brothers, Fredrick "Fritz" Krueger and Gerald "Jerry" (Judy) Krueger, both of Fond du Lac, a sister-in-law, Nina Krueger of Fond du Lac, 23 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, a daughter, Marilyn Koester, two sons-in-law, James Koester and David Gedlinske, four brothers, four sisters, and an infant granddaughter preceded her in death.
Visitation for Marjorie R. Ruch will be on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Wednesday, January 6th, from 9 to 11 am at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 55 N. Prairie Road, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church. Rev. David Haugly will officiate and burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church or Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
