Mark A. Hall

Mark A. Hall, 45, of North Fond du Lac, Wis., died unexpectedly on Friday, May 13, 2016 at his home. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa on July 15, 1970, a son of Elizabeth Hall. Formerly of Moose Lake, Minn., he graduated from Moose Lake Public School in 1988. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps following high school, serving until 1992. He worked for the Minnesota Department of Corrections in Moose Lake from 2005 until 2011 and in Buhl, Minn. from 2011 until 2014. It was during this time that he went back into the service, this time in the Minnesota Army National Guard, serving from 2006 until 2015. It was during his guard service that he was twice deployed to Afghanistan; first in 2009 and again in 2014. After moving to North Fond du Lac, he was employed as a service technician at Lenz Truck and most recently as a service advisor at Holiday Automotive.

Mark was a very generous, giving and loving man with a big heart and smile for anyone in need. He always had an ear or shoulder to lend for someone in need. His hobbies included his love of all things military and Radio-Controlled (RC) trucks.

Survivors include his fiancé, Donna Prost of North Fond du lac; his children; Christina Hall of Kissimmee, Fla.; Mark Hall, Jr. of Moose Lake, step-sons, William Manu of Severn, Maryland, Gary (Heather Speck) Carlson of Moose Lake and Levi Redmon, also of Moose Lake; a granddaughter, Zariah Hall of Kissimmee, Fla.; his father, Wilbur (Maynard) Fjosne of Sturgeon Lake, Minn., a brother, Jim (Arlene) Fjosne of Sturgeon Lake; sisters, Denise (Ed) Rathey of Brainerd, Minn., Bonnie (Dale) Thompson of Sturgeon Lake, Theresa (Mark Neumeyer) Fjosne of Sturgeon Lake and Anita (Mike) Moonen also of Sturgeon Lake; his cat, Buster; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, and his brothers and sisters in arms.

Visitation for Mark will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. Liturgy of the Word services will be held at 4:00 PM. Cremation will follow. Burial will take place on Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Little Falls State Veterans Cemetery in Minnesota with full military honors.
