Mark A. Peters

Mark A. Peters, 45, formerly of Oshkosh, died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Manor Care Health Services. He was born the son of Harry C. and Mary J. Krug Peters on August 14, 1963 in Fond du Lac. He was a graduate of Goodrich High School in 1981. He received his bachelor's degree in social work from UW Oshkosh and his master's degree at UW Milwaukee. He served in the US Air Force from March 1981 "“ 1987 as a staff sergeant stationed in Brindisi, Italy and a Russian translator in Berlin, Germany. Mark worked as a social worker for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He enjoyed cooking and watching sports.SURVIVORS: his parents, Harry and Mary Peters; one brother, David (Pam) Peters, Eldorado; two nieces, Tammy Peters, Eldorado, Heather (Tim) Karow, Fond du Lac; one nephew, Jason Peters, Fond du Lac; one great niece, Aleah Karow, Fond du Lac; three aunts, Diane (Jim) Tenley, Osceola, Sandy (Dave) Brenner, Eldorado, Janice Laning, Eldorado; one uncle, Jim (Jeanne) Zahn, Rosendale. He is further survived by special friends, the Seibel family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Florence (Otto) Zahn, paternal grandparents, Harry and Esther Peters; one infant brother, Terry; one uncle, Jerry Zahn.



VISITATION: will be from 1 "“ 2 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. James F.D. Martin officiating. Cremation has taken place.
