Marlea J. Hobbs, 75, of Oakfield, went home to be with her Lord Christmas morning, Friday, December 25, 2015 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born April 14, 1940 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Clifford and Eunice Kahlhammer Hobbs. Marlea was an active member of Oakfield United Methodist Church and the Bank of Oakfield’s Golden Advantage Club. She enjoyed socializing, cats, and was a loyal fan of Oakfield sports.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Ken (Mary) Newton of Oakfield; her nephews, Jay (Samantha) Newton of Oakfield and Mitch (Amy) Newton of Markesan; her niece and goddaughter, Alicia (Chad) Meinburg of Oakfield; great nephews and nieces, Shaina, Jacob, and Sydney Newton, Hunter, McKenna, Carter, and Madelyn Newton, Marissa and Kya Meinburg; her aunt, Janet Kahlhammer of Waupun; cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; and her sister, Patty Newton.
The visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Oakfield United Methodist Church.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Oakfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Droste officiating. Private family burial will be held in Avoca Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Marlea’s name and will be used towards Oakfield Sports.
