Marlene M. Furlong

Marlene M. Furlong, age 73, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on November 17, 1942, the daughter of Alfred and Genevieve (Smith) Schmidt. On July 28, 1962 she married Gaile Furlong at St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1997. Marlene was a pharmacy tech at Agnesian for many years. She was involved in planning every reunion for her class. Marlene loved working outside, going to craft shows, gardening, going out to eat with friends, spending time and going for rides with her grand-dog and co-pilot “Abby”, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.



SURVIVORS: two sons, James (special friend Jennifer) Furlong of St. Francis, WI, Jeffrey (special friend Sue) Furlong of Fond du Lac; one brother, Theodore (Debbie) Schmidt of Sheboygan; she is further survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Gaile.



Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 1-3 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A memorial service will take place following the visitation at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
