Marlene M. Wirth

Marlene M. Wirth, age 78, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at her residence. She was born on March 22, 1939, in Fond du Lac, the oldest of nine children to Walter and Lillian (Groeschel) Leu. On November 12, 1955 she married Stephen A. Wirth in Fond du Lac. Marlene worked at Fab and Trim, Gilmore’s, and then Mercury until retirement. She loved cooking, reading, traveling, flowers, caring for stray cats, and her yard. She was very proud of her home and enjoyed taking care of it. Marlene was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.



Survivors include her husband Stephen; three children, Michael (Jane) Wirth of FL, Elizabeth (Bob) Lueck of Westfield, Karen (Jim) Wirth of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her siblings, Carolyn (Claire) Barton of Fond du Lac, Mary Ann Leu of Fond du Lac, Thomas (Lois) Leu of Fond du Lac, Jim (Peggy) Leu of Kiel, Patty (Jim) Hensel of Hancock, WI; two sisters-in-law, Margaret (Pat) Hicken, and Karen Wirth; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Craig and David; three sisters, Kathleen, Darlene, and Susie.



Private family visitation will take place. Entombment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
