Martha J. Macias, 68, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born January 6, 1947, in Park Falls, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edward C. and Margaret J. Russell Hoffman. On August 29, 1998, she married George Macias at St. Patrick’s Church in Fond du Lac. Martha volunteered for Sons of Zebedee Parish of Byron and Holy Family Parish of Fond du Lac, belonging to both parishes. She was a very active member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society. She was an avid reader, loved animals, and loved to clean, hence she was AKA the Queen of Clean.
Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Stacey (Tim) Kassens of Hartland, WI, three grandchildren, Patrick and Maria Kassens and Nancy Jones, and a great-grandson, Cody Jones. Her parents preceded her in death.
Visitation for Martha J. Macias will be on Saturday, September 12, 2015, from 9 to 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church-Holy Family Parish, 678 Western Avenue, Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday at the church. The Rev. John Radetski will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Fond du Lac Humane Society, 652 Triangle Road, Fond du Lac, or the St. Vincent De Paul Society, 330 N. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac.
