Martin J. Schrieber, age 59, of 225 Whispering Springs Drive, Fond du Lac, died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 27, 1950. On March 9, 1973 he married Karla Moore at Division Street United Methodist Church, Fond du Lac. Martin was in the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. He worked in Campus Services for Marian University. He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church. Martin enjoyed woodworking, crafts, and working with his hands. He liked hunting with his brothers, camping, being outdoors, and he loved his dog. Martin loved his family, his greatest joy was being "Papa" to his grandchildren, he had a great sense of humor, and Karla's mom always told him he was her "favorite son in law".SURVIVORS: his wife, Karla of Fond du Lac, two sons, Taylor (Tracey) Schrieber of Fond du Lac, Adam (Therese) Schrieber of East Troy, six grandchildren, Alexandra, Cassidy, and Joseph of Fond du Lac, Mary, Lucy, and Adam Schrieber Jr. of East Troy, brothers and sisters, Mark (Carol) Benzel of Ball Ground, GA, Mary (Matt) Fumoso of Fond du Lac, sister in law, Kathy Schreiber of Fond du Lac, Marlin (Ann) Benzel of Waleska, GA, Ed (Pat) Benzel Jr. of Fond du Lac, brothers in law, Steve (Mitzi) Moore of Appleton, Dennis (Mary) Moore of Appleton, Brian (Mickey) Moore of Chilton, Scott (Kay) Moore of Green Bay, special friends, James and Mary Johnson, Jack Wimpey, Jim Behnke, Marv Rach, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, his stepfather Edward Benzel Sr., brother, Michael Schreiber, Grandma and Grandpa Fees, father in law, Douglas Moore, mother in law, Jean Moore, and brother in law, Gary Roeth.



VISITATION: Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 3-6 P.M. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 20 N. Marr St, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 6:00 P.M. at Covenant United Methodist Church with the Reverend Michael Morning officiating.
