Marvin E. Immel, 92 of Fond du Lac, WI died Friday, September 17, 2010, at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born on May 6, 1918 in Fond du Lac the son of Paul and Ella Rabe Immel. He attended St. Peter's Elementary School. He married Mary M. Hass on November 30, 1940 in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2009. He was a dairy farmer until 1968. Then went to work for Andrew Excavating where he retired at the age of 85. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Fond du Lac, WI. He was a member of the FDL County Farm Bureau, a member of the Taft School PTA and Lakeside Twirlers Square Dance Club. Survivors: Marvin is survived by six sons; Kenneth M. (Sandy) Immel of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Paul H. (Joyce) Immel, Carlton E. (Sue) Immel, Ronald J. (Janice) Immel, Jerold R. (Jeanne) Immel, Rodney K. (Janet) Immel, all of Fond du Lac, and one daughter Linda L. (John) Johnson of Fond du Lac. Marvin had 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren, and one sister-in-law Verna Immel of Fond du Lac. His parents, his wife Mary, a sister Lucile Immel Wightman and her husband Charles and two brothers Harold and Henry Immel preceded him in death.
VISITATION: Will be on Sunday, September 19, 2010, from 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Monday from 10 to 11 am at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Main Street, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM at the church on Monday. The Reverend Jon Cox will officiate and entombment will be at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac, WI. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Hospice Home of Hope. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
