Marvin L. Werner

Marvin L. Werner, 85, of Fond du Lac, died Monday March 28, 2011 at St. Francis Home after a short illness. He was born on May 21, 1925 in Van Dyne, the son of Louis and Leona Nimmer Werner. He was a graduate from North Fond du Lac High School. Marvin was inducted into the US Army on August 11, 1943 and served during World War II in Germany. He was discharged on April 2, 1946. On December 15, 1947 he married Patricia Hoffmann. Marvin worked for a short time at the SOO Line Railroad, he later became an electrician and worked in construction until St. Agnes Hospital hired him and he worked there until his retirement in January 1982. He and his wife enjoyed traveling.Surviving are his wife, Patricia Werner, Fond du Lac,two sons, Mark (Jean Marie) Werner, Fond du Lac and Clark (Nancy) Werner, North Fond du Lac, two grandsons and two granddaughters, and one great grandson. He is further survived by two brothers, Alan (Ann) Werner, Murfreesboro, TN and Arvid Werner, North Fond du Lac; one sister, Arlene Boda, Oshkosh. His parents, and a infant sister Norma preceded him in death.



Private family visitation and funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Reverend Edward Sippel officiating. Cremation will take place with inurnment in The Chapel of Risen Christ Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to St. Francis Employee Appreciation Fund or Hospice Hope.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
