Marvin W. Schneider

Marvin W. Schneider, 89, of Malone, died Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Harbor Haven Health & Rehabilitation in Fond du Lac surrounded by his family. He was born in Malone on February 14, 1934, to Clemens and Rose (Sabel) Schneider. Marvin attended St. Peter Catholic School. He was a veteran of the US Army having served from 1954-1956. On April 15, 1961, Marvin married Patricia Zinniel at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in North Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on May 3, 2023. 

Marvin enjoyed family, reading, hunting rabbits and pheasants, watching the Packers, Friday night bowling, and was proud of his garden. He worked for Galloway West, owned a hobby farm, and following retirement, worked for National Exchange Bank and Trust. Marvin was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Town of Taycheedah Planning Board, St. Peter Athletic Club, and American Legion Abler-Engel Post 454 in Mt. Calvary.   

Survivors include his children, Jeffrey H. (Cathy) Schneider, Leon J. (Lori) Schneider, and Amy L. (Marc) Pasineau; six grandchildren, Dustin (Libby) Schneider, Taylor (Brandon) Van Bogaert, Courtney (Mike) Brinkmann and their son, Ernst, Kelsey Schneider (Josh Berres), Meghan (Luke) Boll and their children, Veda and Harlow, and Michael Pasineau (fiancée McKenzie Lau); in-laws, Lillian Schneider and Joan (Bob) Guell; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Schneider; his sisters, Norma (Melvin) Stenz and Evelyn (Lyle) Thome, Barb Thome. 

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at St. Peter Catholic Church, N8079 Church Rd., in Malone. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with a private family burial in the parish cemetery to follow. Cremation has taken place. 

The family wishes to give special thanks to the entire staff of Harbor Haven and the nurses at SSM Health at Home Hospice for everything they have done for Marvin.
