Mary Alice Kuitert

Mary Alice Kuitert, 91, died Friday, March 2, 2018 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on May 31, 1926 to William and Mary (Charbonneau) Detweiler. On June 25, 1949 she married George Kuitert at St. Patrick’s Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1994.



Survivors include three children, Dan (Deb) Kuitert of Fond du Lac, Rita Gassner of Leroy and Tom (Gail) Kuitert of Fond du Lac; daughter-in-law, Nancy Kuitert of Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren, Shane, Joey (Erin), Gerard, Jackson (Miranda), Katie, Brian, Aaron, Kelly (Kevin Nellesen) and Geoff; eight great-grandchildren, Noah, Winter Grace, Liam, Hannah, Camden, Makenna, Kalista and Tiko; sister, Margaret Krapfl; sister-in-law, Jeanne Detweiler; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.



She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary; her husband, George; sons, Jim Kuitert and David Kuitert; son-in-law, Dennis Gassner; four siblings, Donna, Hazel, Tom and Billy; and three brothers-in-law, Joe, Francis and Tony.



Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. A Liturgy of the Word will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery will follow the services.
