Mary Ann Birschbach

Mary Ann Birschbach, age 87, of Malone, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at ManorCare Health Services. She was born on February 28, 1929 in St. Peter, WI, the daughter of Peter and Coletta (Blatz) Freund. On September 8, 1956 she married Roger Birschbach at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Peter. Mary Ann was a foster parent to twenty-five kids for many years and also worked at the Retlaw. She enjoyed gardening, baking, playing cards, puzzles, camping, watching Disney movies, and she was an avid Packer fan. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.



SURVIVORS: her husband Roger of Malone; her children, Jonathon (Michelle) Birschbach of Malone, Katie (Lt. Col. Steve) Kotansky currently stationed in Okinawa, Catherine Kostka of Wausau, John Schultz of Fond du Lac, Brenda Leggett of Fond du Lac, Jenny (Brian) Munson of Fond du Lac, Leeane Birschbach of Malone; ten grandchildren, Alyssa (Jeremy) Thorpe, Jacob, Joe, Samantha, Robert, Abigail, William, Antonia, Macie, and Hunter; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Riley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ralph (June) Birschbach of Mt. Calvary, Betty Jane (Jim) Costello of Malone, Patricia Birschbach of Mt. Calvary, Gordon (Barb) Birschbach of AZ, Wayne (Michele) Birschbach of Mesa, AZ, Roseanne (David) Faucher of Malone, Paul (Nancy) Birschbach of Mt. Calvary; special friend Marie Kraus of Malone; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Walter and Antonia Birschbach; one brother, Clarence Freund; brother in law, Henry Birschbach; sister in law, Delores Ecker.



VISITATION: Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 2-5 P.M. at Spirit of Life Church, 240 N. National Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. at Spirit of Life Church. Cremation has taken place.
