Mary Ann went home to the big fishing pond in the sky on Monday, November 15th at her home from natural causes. She was 57. Mary Ann spent her childhood in Fond du Lac, and graduated from St. Mary's grade school and Goodrich H.S. After high school, she lived and worked for a time in Milwaukee and most recently had lived in Jackson, WI, for the past 11 years.Mary Ann had one daughter, Nichole Kassner (Adam), and two granddaughters, Ashley and Asia, all of Milwaukee. She also had one sister, Suzanne Rausch and her mother Florence Schuppe, both of Fond du Lac. She has been preceded in death by her father and stepfather, E. Ray Schuppe, her husband, Ken Weimer and her most beloved Yellow Lab, Lucy. She is also survived by other relatives, friends and her very kind and helpful neighbors.Mary Ann was a lover of animals, fishing, gardening and the great outdoors. Many walleye met their fate when she fished and her Muskie she caught was mounted on her wall. Through the years, a parade of animals came to reside with Mary Ann including, birds, fish, small mammals and dogs. She also leaves behind her roommate Mark and her dog, Greta.
Uecker Witt Funeral Home of Fond du Lac is handling the cremation services. A Memorial Open house will follow at a later date at Mary Ann's home in Jackson, WI. Any donations can be made to the Human Society in her name.
