Mary Ann Van Pelt, 87, of N7609 Eagle Lane, North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, February 10, 2011, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born September 22, 1923, in Chicago, the daughter of James and Ann Mary DiNicco Mitidiero. On June 21, 1940, she married John L. Van Pelt in Chicago. He preceded her in death in 1968. Mary Ann moved to the Fond du Lac area 20 years ago from Chicago. She took a special interest in working with special needs children and adults. She loved ceramics, wood search puzzles, and country music. Surviving are three daughters, Ann Marie (James) Cunningham of Frankfort, IL, Janice (Scott) Ganz and Sheri Lynn (Michael) Gohde, both of Fond du Lac, a son, James (Juli) Van Pelt of Chicago, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a step-grandson. Two sisters, Mickey TenHoven and Louise Della Betta, both of Chicago, survive her. Her parents, husband, a grandson, John R. Van Pelt, and a step-grandson, Nicholas E. Gohde preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mary Ann Van Pelt will be on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 3 to 5 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 9 AM till chapel prayers at 10:45 AM at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th Street/Lincoln Hwy (Rt. 30). Chicago, IL. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at St. Anthony's Church, 7659 West Sauk Trail Avenue, Frankfort, IL. Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home is in charge of services in Chicago. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchere Cemetery, Worth, IL. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
