Mary Anne "Marian" Baumann

Mary Anne 'Marian' Baumann, 89, formerly of 260 South Lake Circle, died Friday, September 07, 2007, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born October 12, 1917, in Random Lake, WI, the daughter of Dominic and Anna Altenhofen Gessner. On June 18, 1938, she married Joseph M. Baumann at St. Rose of Lima Church in Fredonia, WI. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1997. Mrs. Baumann was a member of Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church. She and her husband owned and operated Baumann's Meat Market in Lomira from 1945 to 1975. Mary Anne was a former member of St. Mary's Church in Lomira, the Christian Mothers, and the Home and School Association. Church and family were very important in her life. She also enjoyed playing cards.Surviving are three daughters, Jo Ann (Richard) Ulrich of Hutchinson, MN, Judy (John) Grenas of West Bend, and Bonnie (Terry) Strelow of Fond du Lac; a son, Donald (Lori) Baumann of Fond du Lac, 16 grandchildren, Debra (Grant) Miller, Rick (Deb) Ulrich, Denise (Larry) Witthus, Ross (Kari) Ulrich, Tony (Annamarie) Kleinhans, Chris (Ellen) Kleinhans, Jason Kleinhans, Jody Weddig and Becky (Steve) Farrell, Chad (Heidi) Strelow, Craig Strelow, Cory (Fiancé' Krista Weinberger), and Brianne Strelow, Nicole (Ben) Baertschy, Danielle Baumann, and Abigail Baumann, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. A brother, Mark Gessner of Milwaukee, further survives her. Her parents, husband, two brothers, Raymond and Norbert Gessner, and two sisters, Margaret Knepprath and Lucine Schinker preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mary Anne Baumann will be on Monday, September 10, 2007, from 9 to 11 am at Sacred Heart Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Monday at the church. The Rev. Pat Heppe will officiate and entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
