Mary B. Giese

MARY B. GIESEMary B. Giese, 58, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully with our Lord Jesus Christ after a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 5, 1952 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Walter and Esther Kaiser Erdmann. She was a 1971 graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy. On April 30, 1983 she married Dennis F. Giese at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Mary worked for Alliant Energy, holding various positions for 36 years, retiring on August 1, 2011. She enjoyed planting flowers, creating beautiful holiday traditions for her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and loved shopping and spending time with her daughters. She also had a passion for music and playing piano. Mary was a hard working, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.SURVIVORS: her husband, Dennis; three daughter, Maureen (Bob) Poch, Megan Giese, Rachel Giese, all of Fond du Lac; two grandsons, Logan and Kyle Poch. She is further survived by her father, Walter Erdmann, Fond du Lac; one sister, Vicki Erdmann, Fond du Lac; uncle and aunt, Robert and Lucille Wischnewski, Fond du Lac; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Esther.



VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 8 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Friday from 9:30 "“ 11 AM at the church. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 12, 2011 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Michael Zuberbier officiating. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.Memorials are appreciated to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
