Candy WeinbergerMrs. Robert Weinberger, 79, of 350 Winnebago Street, North Fond du Lac, died on Friday, October 28, 2005, at her residence. The former Mary Beth (Candy) Caine, daughter of Chester and Lillian Soldner Caine, was born at Lowell, WI, on March 14, 1926. She married Robert Weinberger of Le Roy, WI, on May 29, 1948, at Holy Family Church. Reeseville, WI. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2004. She graduated from Mayville High School in 1943, and from the St. Agnes School of Nursing in 1947. Mrs. Weinberger worked at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Americana Healthcare Center, and was the first lay nurse on the staff of Hospice Hope of St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. She was a member of Sons of Zebedee Parish-St. James Church, Oakfield for 46 years, and was a past officer of District 3 council of Nursing Home Nurses.She is survived by seven children: Catherine (Mark Schumerth) Porter of Oshkosh, Jeanne Weinberger of Fond du Lac, Michelle Weinberger-Burns and Mary Lee (Russell) Lane, both of Waupaca, Julie (Tim) Lang of Green Bay, Peggy (Chris) Anderson of Barnwell, SC, and Scott Weinberger of Milwaukee. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, a brother, Chester (Barbara) Caine, Jr., of Lowell, WI, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and a son-in-law, Michael Burns.



Visitation for Mrs. Candy Weinberger will be on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation. Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass will be on Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at 10:30 am at Sons of Zebedee Parish-St. James Church, Oakfield. The Rev. Michael Petersen will officiate. The family requests that memorials be directed to St. James Church, Oakfield, or St. Agnes Hospice Hope c/o St. Agnes Hospital Foundation.
