Mary C. (Burnett) Hayes

Mary C. (Burnett) Hayes, 77, of Fond du Lac, died on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on January 11, 1944, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Lyle and Marie (Baurichter) Burnett. On January 24, 1964, she married Dan T. Hayes in Waukegan, IL. They have recently celebrated their 57th year of marriage together. Mary’s three children and four grandchildren where the most important thing in her life. She was known for her beautiful knitting and crocheting.



She is survived by her husband, Dan; three children, Steven Hayes, Karen (Gregory) Scheib, and Kelly (Matthew) Stafford; four grandsons, Austin (fiancée, Chloe Fisher), Trever Scheib, Tyler Stafford, and Ethan Stafford; sister, Susan (Ronald) Lueck; two sisters-in-law, Jane (LeRoy) Brzezinski, and Bev Burnett; brother-in-law, Brian (Nancy Wall) Hayes; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by parents, Lyle and Marie; brother, Lyle Burnett; and two sisters, Ruth (Bob) Carlovsky and Judith (Terry) Hintz.



Private family services have taken place with entombment held at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.



The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Agnes Hospital for the care and compassion given to Mary.
