Mary Elizabeth Casper, 94, formerly of 596 Elizabeth Street, and currently a resident of Woodlands Senior Park, 88 Wisconsin-American Drive for the past two years, died Wednesday, May 07, 2008, at her residence. She was born September 6, 1913, in Eden, the daughter of John and Emily Willis Hoddinott. On September 3, 1938, she married Louis G. Casper in St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2006. Mrs. Casper was member of Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Church and it's Altar & Rosary Society. Waters, Sabish, and Woodworth schools formerly employed her as a cook for 27 years. Mary was a member of Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Robert (Suthiva) Casper of Fond du Lac, and David (Lee Ann) Casper of Westfield, WI, five grandchildren, Angie (Dale) Buxton of Brunswick, ME, Christina (Billy) Souza of Wiscasset, ME, Adam Casper of Madison, Dr. Debbie Casper of Phoenix, AZ, and Mark Casper of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Mabel Bloechl, Edith Rhode, and Dorothy Hoddinott, and a brother, Frances Hoddinott.
Visitation for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Casper will be on Monday, May 12, 2008, from 10 to 12 noon at St. Mary's Church, 93 Marquette Street, Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 Noon at the church. The Rev. Camelo Giuffre will officiate and entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to either Agnesian Hospice or Trier-Puddy American Legion Auxiliary.
